The Pan American Lofts for Sale in The Historic Core
Built by Sumner Hunt back in 1895 and was originally known as "The Iriving Byrne" building. Actually housed the Mexican counsulate during WWll. Acknowledged as the second oldest building downtown. Once was the home of "The James Irvine Company" (namesake of the city of Irvine). In 2007 Long Beach developer/builder Urban Pacific under a $20m budget renovated the building into 40 high end lofts/condos with high end finishes. Downtown Broker Randelle Green of The RandelleGreen Group along with Doma properties led the original sales efforts. Built with a Beaux Arts/Colonial Spanish influence, the property was granted the Mills Act, one of DTLA's first. This is an annual property tax abatement for all home owners. The famous lobby staircase labeled the "Hitchcock Staircase" (because of the many films the eccentric Director used it in) was renovated to it's full original glory. It was also used in Brad Pitt films "Seven" and "Fight Club".
