It was 2004 when Portland, Oregon developer's "Williams & Dame" and it's cross town rivals "Gerding Edlen" came to Downtown Los Angeles. They descended into the sparce area of South Hope St. and Grand Ave. crossed by 11th & 12th Streets. An area that was dilapidated, vacant and unused. They had a vision to come together and create a complex, three buildings that would ignite a community. That community would be called South Park.
